Rocky roads to drive my SUV....?

I bought a new SUV and i would love to go ride it on the rocky roads, i'm in los angeles, ca. is there anyone who knows such a place and if its legal to drive around that area. Thanks in advance.

I do not live in LA but i do offroad and i would like to leave you with a few tips first.

1. Never go alone, always bring someone with another vehicle and supplies.

2. Known your vehicles limits.

3. Understand something will break, it always will!

4. Offroading is hard on stock vehicles so be prepared to repair it on the trail or be able to tow it back to town.

Just call your local department of motor vehicles office and ask them what places you can travel on that are legal..
