Cricket Australia (CA) has appointed the former wicketkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-John-Bichel-c44426, as members of the national selection panel, headed by John Inverarity, who was recently named as chairman of the committee.
The General Manager of CA, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Iftikhar-Ali-Khan-Pataudi-Nawab-of-c64075 Howard, confirmed the appointments, and showed immense confidence over the abilities of the former Australian players.
According to Howard, both former cricketers have always performed excellently for the country; therefore, considering their performance on the field, CA decided to give them new role to take the game to the next level.
CA’s manager appreciated the outstanding cricketing career of Australia’s former wicketkeeper, Marsh, and termed him as a legend.
He added that the way the veteran of 96 Tests, and 92 ODIs had always been right on the money with his performance, proves that he is the ideal person to be considered as a member of the national selection panel.
Meanwhile, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Howard-c63371 asserted that the 64-year-old performed coaching responsibilities brilliantly in the recent past.
While expressing his views over Bichel’s appointment, he cited Bichel as a successful speedster, and admired his recitals for the country as well.
Howard said that the 41-year-old, who served Australia in 67 Tests, and 19 ODIs, had helped the Aussies grab countless victories in the shorter format of the game.
Furthermore, the manager claimed that the combination of March and Bichel would surely help the chairman of the selection committee, Inverarity, to scout emerging talent for the national side.

While the right-arm fast bowler, Bichel, who started his International career in 1997, picked 78 ODI wickets, and 58 Test scalps.
