  1. Its ok for a novice but the hooks r not in decent quantity, should have more but when ur a beginner just don't buy anything pricey cos u lack the basics to maintain gears,terminal/rigs will be lost easily due to lack of skills to avoid snags/fights.Maybe stock just a bit more on your terminals n hooks. The rod n reel seemed fair, polish up your knot, rig, maintenance, lures, flies knowledge.Just read more if u fish more then u can be a pro or expert.U can't get those quality size fish if u lack brains n practice.Lots of youngsters just don't want to learn hard n smart. Also keep asking someone u know bout the part that ur not so sure about,if u ask me I'll tell u whatever u need to know but no nonsense please.now go n get those nice fishy.enjoy.

  2. Well, since you already have it, then it should be okay for starting out. It might be a little heavy though. It doesn't mention what action it has. But you should be looking for something in the light to medium-light action. I wouldn't go longer than 2m myself, but it's the action that really counts when fishing for carp, tench, and bream, so as long as it's not a medium-heavy or heavy action reel rod, you should be okay. The reel should be fine as long as the rod is.

Mono would be fine for everything but the pike (you'll need wire leaders for them), but it doesn't mention what test it is. You are not going to want a large line for the fish you are targeting because it won't be sensitive enough. For those fish you are going to want something no bigger than 10lb (4.5kg) line, 6-8lb would be better.

I wish I could have been more specific, but that website didn't give enough specifics about the equipment. If you can post the rod action and line test, it would make it easier to say for sure.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  3. you're that kid asking if it were a all right rig! it will work but them carp might break your rod. Get a better rod if you can.

  4. its good for everything if but make shure dat ur rigs r tied good
