De Koempels head coach has denied extending his contract that runs until the end of the ongoing 2011/12 campaign.
Reports from Parkstad Limburg Stadion confirm that Roda JC Kerkrade head coach, Harm van Veldhoven, will leave the club at the end of the ongoing 2011/12 campaign.
The 49-year-old tactician took over the managerial hot seat at De Limburgers from sacked Raymond Atteveld in November 2008. In his debut season, he managed to avoid relegation to Eerste Divisie through relegation/promotion play-offs. Since then, the Dutch-Belgian
trainer has managed to secure top half finishes in the Eredivisie.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664 Wielaert, has revealed that his side has achieved consistent results under the leadership of the 49-year-old and they want to continue working with him.
“The collaboration between Harm and Roda JC is one to be proud. It has many good things. We wanted to continue like this, but Harm has expressed his desire of pursuing his career elsewhere. We wish him all the success for the future”, Wielaert was quoted
as saying to Voetbal International.
Van Veldhoven, who has an expiring contract at Parkstad Limburg Stadion that runs until the summer of 2012, has expressed his desire to take the next step in his managerial career. He revealed that some Belgian clubs are interested in appointing him, but
refused to reveal any names.
“I am on that point of my career that I want to compete for prizes. I have spent much time here and now I want to move forward. I am not satisfied with finishing in the top half of the table only, I want more. There are some Belgian clubs, but I will not
name them”, the Dutch-Belgian mentor said while talking to the media.
Reports confirm that the Roda JC management and Van Veldhoven discussed the 49-year-old’s future at Parkstad Limburg Stadion, with some reports even indicating that both parties would be reaching an agreement soon.
However, it has now been confirmed that the former Germinal Beerschot manager would be parting ways with De Koempels this summer.
