http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager, Brendan Rodgers, has termed Luis Suarez as an ‘emotional’ person, and feels that the striker needs to guard his discipline in the coming games.
The Uruguayan International picked up a yellow card during the Reds previous game against Sunderland on Saturday. It was his third booking of the ongoing season.
If the striker goes on to pick two more yellow cards, he will be subjected to punitive measures from the FA, and could face a suspension of up to three matches.
The former Ajax player is renowned for his short temper, and his knack of getting caught into controversies.
Earlier, he received an eight-match suspension from the FA for his racial slur against Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231. He then made it into the headlines for all the wrong reasons again, refusing to shake hands with the Red Devils defender during a pre-match
handshake ceremony. Later, he also accused United of hatching a conspiracy against him and his club.
Anyhow, the Anfield boss has not experienced any disciplinary problems from the striker as yet. He revealed that he has enjoyed working alongside Suarez so far, but admitted that he needs to be more careful with his discipline over the next couple of matches.
“You are always trying to educate players and talk to them. That is part of what makes him and he is on to three now so he'll have to be careful,” he told the reporters.
"I have no complaints, I read from the outside all these reports about Luis Suarez but he has been an absolute pleasure to work with from the first day I came in here… He is an emotional guy, he runs on emotion, as some players do.”
Rodgers is yet to record his first win in EPL as Liverpool manager, since he took over the reins of Anfield in June.
However, the Ulsterman was keen on picking up positives from their beleaguered start. One of them has been the performance of the Reds starlet, Raheem Sterling.
The 17-year old, who also received an international call-up recently, promises to be a genuine asset for the Merseysiders this season, and has already caught the eye of scores of people with his blistering form.
Nonetheless, Rodgers wants the juvenile winger to keep his feet on the ground, and keep on working hard to improve even further.
“It is our http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 to manage him and manage the expectation and just let him concentrate on his football,” he added.
