Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, has revealed that his team are not trying to emulate Swansea City’s style of play, claiming that he will go about the things in Liverpool’s way.
The Northern Irishman took over the Anfield job in June, after former boss, Kenny Dalglish, was relieved of his managerial duties in view of the Reds poor eighth-place finish last season.

Rodgers propelled the Swans to the top-division of English football, making them the first Welsh club to achieve the feat. The team then enjoyed stupendous success under his supervision in the prevenient term, finishing at the eleventh spot in the table
and beating some of the best teams in the league in the process.
What was even more impressive was the Barcelona-like playing style that he introduced in the Premier League, highlighted by possession retention and quick passing game.
Although the Ulsterman is known to be executing more or less the same strategy at Anfield, he said that he plans on doing things the Liverpool way.
The manager also insisted that his team were not trying to emulate the Swans style of play, pointing out that the nature of his assignment at Merseyside was quite different to the one at the Liberty Stadium.
“Swansea play the Swansea way of playing. It is not that we want to play the way Swansea play,” he told the reporters.
