Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, has admitted that he might off load Andy Carroll in order to facilitate new signings.
The Northern Irishman also conceded that the striker’s second-choice status in his line-up was not his rightful place, but he did not fit into his future model for the club.
Carroll’s future destination has remained one of the hot topics throughout the summer transfer window. He was heavily linked to rejoining Newcastle United, after the Magpies came knocking on the door to seek his signature. However, the move failed to transpire,
as the Reds are only willing to entertain proposals of a permanent deal for the player.

once he gets a substantial amount by selling Carroll.
The transfer window is set to close by the coming Friday.
When asked what he plans on doing about the Reds 35 million pounds forward, the Ulsterman responded by saying that is yet to reach to a decision on the matter. He admitted that a player of Carroll’s calibre does not deserve to be on the bench, and he wants
his talents to be better utilized, while at the same time making a profitable deal out of him.
“I’m not sure we are in a position to have £35m players as third-choice strikers or wingers who might be on £6m a year. I don’t think the club are in that position. The club needs repair financially,” he told the reporters.
Despite failing to make a notable impression last term, the 23-year old is reported to be keen on an Anfield stay, and is determined to make amends for his shortcomings.
In total, he has capped 58 appearances for the Merseyside outfit, and has got 11 goals under his belt.
