The Liverpool FC manager has admitted that the former Chelsea man has been in staggering form since his move to the club in the January transfer window
Brendan Rodgers is all praise for mercurial striker Daniel Sturridge who has been is stunning form this season. Liverpool bought the striker from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the January transfer window earlier this year and the attacker has been
amongst the goals all season. Liverpool do not miss Luis Suarez, who is serving a 10-game ban by the FA.
Sturridge scored a brilliant hat-trick against Fulham in the club’s most recent Premier League clash at Craven Cottage. The home side took the lead in the first-half but the English international scored three brilliant goals to
award his side all three points.
Rodgers claimed that Sturridge has all it takes to become a great European striker in the years to come and has tipped the attacker to perform even better next season. He also praised the team’s performance in the second-half and
wants the players to end the season on a high.
“I've been mightily impressed by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Sturridge-c10076. He is a young player who has got all the attributes to be a top European forward. We were very exciting. Going forward we were really creative. We scored three and could have had
more. It was a terrific second half performance,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the manager admitted that his side has shown great potential throughout the course of the season and is confident that the club will start the next season with a bang. He is targeting a top-four finish in the
coming season and is keen to better this season’s seventh place finish.
“I think we can have an exciting season next year. We can build. We need more depth in the summer. We will be looking for a real sustainable challenge for the top four,” he concluded.
