The Anfield outfit have managed just a single point out of their first three games – their worst start to the league since 1962.
They lost 3-0 to West Bromwich Albion on the opening day at the Hawthorns. Despite putting up a gallant effort in their 2-2 draw against Manchester City in the next game, their fate took another ill turn, as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of

What was even more worrisome for the manager, Brendan Rodgers, was the fact that the dismal results have come even though his team did put up an impressive show.
However, the weakness in the Reds attack was quite manifest against the Gunners. Luis Suarez, who is currently spearheading the attack, was lacklustre in his finishing. Moreover, their cause was not helped by the performance of the other players upfront,
who were equally wasteful with their chances.
The team’s struggles in the offensive front have been attributed by many to the Northern Irishman’s failure to land in a surrogate for Andy Carroll this summer.
The English International was sent out on loan to West Ham United. Clint Dempsey, who was expected to strike a deal with Liverpool on the transfer deadline day, instead opted to move to Tottenham Hotspur, leaving the Reds empty handed.

“We build the game very well through the thirds, but it's about making sure that when we arrive in the final third, if we can't find the moment to score straight away, we maybe have to have that bit more patience,” he told the reporters.
“That has a knock-on effect to the team. When you are that little bit more patient at the top end of the field, everyone else behind that then can get into position.”
The manager then played down the notion that the team’s poor showing recently had triggered panic in their ranks, insisting that the season had only just started.
