Brendan Rodgers has is anticipating approach for some of his players in the summer transfer window and is keen to decline any offers. The manager admitted that there are some world-class players in the team and that some of the
bigger clubs certainly go for the best players. However, he is confident that the likes of Luis Suarez will be at the club for long and is confident of his stay.

Rodgers claimed that even the most successful clubs fear losing their best players and Liverpool is no exception. He stated that there will be speculation regarding the departure of many players but he is confident that the club
can hold on to them.
“Even clubs that have won the league are faced with having to keep hold of their players. So there’s always going to be speculation about players here and we expect that to happen again,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Swansea City manager claimed that all players are happy at Liverpool and there is certainly a feeling of unity at Anfield. The tactician added the even though some of the results have not gone the team’s way recently,
the players are prepared to work hard to reach the goals for the season.
“I am a realist. We’ve got some outstanding players here who other clubs will show interest in. But I can only speak from my experience of working with the players here and I think they are all happy,” he concluded.
Liverpool FC will next face Zenit St. Petersburg at Anfield in the second-leg of UEFA Europa League round of 32 clash. The home side will be looking to overturn the 2-0 deficit they suffered in the first-leg.
