Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, has revealed that he plans on including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102 in his future plans for the club and is not contemplating selling him in January.
The English International is currently out of favour from his manager, who has only played him in 3 league games so far this season.
He was signed by the Reds for a lump sum 16 million pounds transfer fee from Sunderland during the previous summer. Although he remained a regular member of the playing eleven under Kenny Dalglish, the midfielder is yet to make his first start under Rodgers’
management.
Keeping in view his innocuous presence in the team, it is widely believed that Henderson is surplus to requirements at Anfield and could make an exit from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 during the January transfer window.
However, the Liverpool chief has revealed that he has got no such intentions. Instead, he said that Henderson has got an important part to play in his future plans and praised his hunger and commitment of putting up a fight to reclaim his place in the team.
“Jordan's a wonderful talent and he's got a great future here. OK, he may not be playing as much as he has done, but his appetite and application and his willingness to learn and improve have really been fantastic,” the Ulsterman told the reporters in an
interview.
Apart from the 22-year old, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stewart-Downing-c34221 and Jose Enrique are other two players who are currently fighting for their places. Rodgers has blooded a handful of academy players this season in order to make up for his depleted squad and has not shown any
kind of hesitance in utilizing them even in the big games.
Although the admission of the youth has come at the cost of some senior players, Rodgers claimed that it has served to further increase the competition squad and everyone was working hard to grab a berth in the starting eleven.
“He and the other guys on the outside are not happy that they're not playing. But their attitude and desire to work hard have been incredible. We're a very tight group and that's important,” he added.
