Swansea City boss, Brendan Rodgers claims that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scott-Sinclair-c32675 is happy at Swansea and he will look to hold on to the player despite reported interest from bigger clubs.
The mercurial forward has been the key player for the Swans this season. The player has reportedly drawn interest from highly decorated clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 but Rodgers believes he will be able to formulate a deal with the player in order to keep him at the
Liberty stadium.
Sinclair spent the 2009/2010 season in the Premier league with Wigan Athletic, before the Englishman opted to move to Swansea City in the summer of 2010. His one year spell at Wigan saw him score 2 goals in 22 appearances for the club.
In the 2010/2011 season, he scored 27 goals for the Swans as he helped his side qualify for the play-offs. He played a pivotal role in the final against Reading by scoring a hat-trick and by helping his side amass a 4-2 victory, which enabled Swans to become
the first Welsh side to qualify for the Premier League.
So far, in the current season, he has been the leading performer for his club, scoring 7 goals and also picking up three assists in 22 appearances.
His prolific game play and impressive performances has caught the attention of the top teams in England. However, the Swans manager is hopeful that the club will be able to cling on to the player.
"We have opened light talks with him. We have not had a big sit down. He is happy here, I have touched base with him moving forward and hopefully between now and the end of the summer we can formulate a deal." Rodgers said
The Swans boss also highlighted the impact Sinclair has made in the club and praised his valuable contribution for the team.
"Scott has made an incredible impact," Rodgers said. "He maybe hasn't scored as

many goals as he would like this season, but he has done very well in terms of

his contribution to the team ethic.” He added.
Rodgers also believed that the player is not interested in leaving the club and said that the 23 year old won’t be tempted by a lucrative offer.
Rodgers, who has also remained in charge of the youth academy of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, mentioned that Sinclair is currently loving his stint at Swansea City and believes he needs to play for the Swans for another two to three seasons.
"He's at a club he loves, he's in an area of the country that he loves and everyone's taken to him.” He said.
Swansea have enjoyed an impressive return to the Premier League this season and are currently eighth in the league table.
