When asked to comment on the Italian International’s performance, Rodgers went on to say that he was already aware of his goal scoring abilities, and was impressed with his maturity on the field, despite being just 21 years of age.

The manager added, “I brought him here because I know he can score. He is only 21 and has a lot of improvement left in him. But with his work-rate and his ability on the ball I think he will fit in very well to our team.”
The juvenile striker is expected to pair up with Suarez upfront, and could well prove to be the answer to Liverpool’s problems in the attacking front in the coming term.
