Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, plans on extending Suso’s contract at Anfield, following the midfielder’s impressive string of performances for the Merseyside club this term.
Following the departure of multiple players during the transfer window, the Northern Irishman was forced to draw on the academy’s youth to bolster his squad.
So far, the team’s youngsters have stepped up to the plate and have made up for their transfer-window fiasco.

However, the Spaniard himself has staked his claim in the team and quickly won the confidence of his manager, who has now promoted him to his first-team.

He is currently serving out the last year of his contract with the Reds.
Nonetheless, Rodgers is determined not to let go of the fledgling once his contract expires.
Instead, he plans on tying him up on a long-term deal at Anfield, and was in awe for the talent that he possesses.
“He's in the last year of his contract, and it's something we will look at,” he told the reporters.
“We did have a couple of offers for Suso in the summer, but I always said I didn't want him to go. We had offers for him to go abroad but he was keen to stay, he understood he was going to get a chance here.”
The Reds sent striker, Andy Carroll, on a season long loan to West Ham United close to the deadline day. It was expected that the club will land in his replacement, with Clint Dempsey appearing as the probable option.
However, they were thwarted at the eleventh hour, as Tottenham Hotspur raided Liverpool’s designs to secure the services of the American International.
The Anfield boss, though, was satisfied with the way the youngsters had responded to their unsuccessful summer business.
“It's funny how things work out. Maybe it's fate, maybe this is all part of the story. Sometimes things happen by design, others by necessity,” he added.
