Roe Deer likely to prevail in the Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Maiden
Roe Deer is tipped to win the Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Maiden at Dundalk in Ireland on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. The winner of the race will walk away with a cash prize of €5,520 in the end.
The going will be standard in the 1 mile 4 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 8:50 GMT. A total of 11 entries have been confirmed for the event and their names are as follows: Mundher, No Such Number, Sweet Solitude, Henry Adams, Roe Deer, Alhellal,
Fancy Socks, Red Star Boy, Guess Who, Pat Garrett and Lady´s Dance.
The bookies have shown full confidence in the abilities of Roe Deer, who is quite new to the sport, but has got immense potential. He has taken part in four races until now, winning none of them. This might discourage the punters from placing bets in his
favour, but they might miss an opportunity to win some easy money at the end of the day.
Tracey Collins’ trainee has secured one runner up spot in his career, which means that he is capable of giving a tough time to the leaders. He did not get off to a great start in his career and struggled to perform in the first couple of outings. However,
he bounced back strongly in his third race and ended up fourth overall.
The five-year-old gelding went onto improve his performance event more, as he finished runner up in his most recent race. His last couple of outings were at Dundalk and he seems to like the conditions here. This will definitely work in his favour and it
will be hard to stop him from winning the race today.
M. C. Hussey will be the jockey partnering Roe Deer in the race. He is quite inexperienced, but has the potential to deliver a strong result in these conditions.
Although no one else seems to be in a position to challenge Roe Deer in the race, No Such Number can pull off a surprise in the end. He is a decent runner, but will need to be at his absolute best to finish on top of the table. He will be partnered by young
jockey, P. J. Smullen.
