Roger Charlton expecting a lot from Bated Breath – Horse Racing news
The trainer of the four-year-old racehorse, Roger Charlton is more than pleased with performance of his trainee that he showcased during the meetings he contended over the weekend.
Bated Breath is now as low as 14-1 for the upcoming meeting, from which the trainer has many expectations. This is the Golden Jubilee Stakes that will be taking place at the Royal Ascot. The trainer is confident that his horse can claim a great deal of summer
prize once he wins this race.
Bated Breath is considered a prominent contender of the Dansili meeting. Moreover, he was also successful in holding off runner up of the last season’s Golden Jubilee Stakes, Society Rock in the prestigious event that took place at the Haydock racecourse.
This race was flaunted by the name of Bet Totepool At totesport.com Conditions Stakes.
After the Royal Ascot meeting, the next aim of Bated Breath will be the Listed Leisure Stakes that will be taking place at the Windsor racecourse on May 23, 2011. The trainer Roger Charlton has previously won this race with his champion trainees Way and
Tamarisk.
According to the reports, the trainer has said that he was thrilled with his colt Bated Breath as he was seen to settle well and always gave the impression of a victorious horse.
He further went on to say, “Perhaps the ground was a touch on the slow side for him after 9mm of rain and he arguably hit the front too soon, but he is an improving colt, who one day I hope might win a big one.”
The racehorse has an overall outstanding racing career so far. He was successful in winning the first three races of his career. Nonetheless, he was not able to give a spectacular performance in the Cambridge Trophy that was sponsored by William Hill and
that took place at the Doncaster racecourse. He was seen to be troubled in the event.
However, Charlton has high hopes from Bated Breath. Now time will decide whether he is able to live up to them or not.
