Roger Federer becomes the official brand ambassador of Moet and Chandon champagne – Tennis News
Swiss tennis legend, Roger Federer, is currently enjoying his holidays in the off-season and has penned down a new contract with leading champagne manufacturing brand. The 31-year-old handsome Swiss will be the brand ambassador
of Moet and Chandon in their advertising campaigns next year. Federer was very delighted after being a part of Moet and Chandon, and will be seen centre-staged in the House’s upcoming campaign in March 2013.
“It’s more than just an honour to be Moët & Chandon’s brand ambassador, it’s an invitation to be part of a very glamorous tradition,” said the Swiss. “Moët & Chandon has always been the champagne of international trendsetters and
I’m proud to be part of a brand that is as dedicated to the pursuit of excellence as I have been throughout my career.”
Federer has been the brand ambassador of a wide range of commercial products for the past many years and a huge proportion of his annual income comes from those multi-national organisations. His fans love to see him off the tennis
courts, posing in television advertisements with his signature smile.
“Roger Federer personifies the glamour of achievement, great generosity and tremendous style values that have been key to our House throughout its long history,” said Stéphane Baschiera, President and CEO of Moët & Chandon.
The Swiss Maestro is creeping towards the end of his illustrious career but he is enthusiastic as ever to reclaim the heights of his vintage time. He rose to the world number one spot after his memorable Wimbledon Championships
triumph to break the record of Pete Sampras for reigning the world number one spot for most number of weeks.
A sudden decline has been witnessed in the form of Federer since his latest Grand Slam victory in London. He couldn’t bag a single title after Wimbledon Championships, depicting his aging factor getting a toll out of his performance
in the competitive playing field of younger opponents. However, most of his losses in the past few years have come at the hands of the other member of the ‘Fantastic Four’ (i.e. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray). Another conclusion can be drawn
from this fact that no other player except these three big guns can take down Federer.
