Roger Federer thrashes Robin Soderling at O2 Arena
The Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer has successfully cruised past his veteran rival from Sweden, Robin Soderling, to qualify for the final four stages of the ongoing (Association of Tennis Professionals) World Tour Finals tennis event, being held in London,
England.
The former world number one Roger Federer continued to impress his fans with his outstanding class and talent by beating the Swede after a challenging two setter battle of tennis. The Swiss ace is performing brilliantly and so far he is sailing smooth in
the tournament as he is still unbeaten in the tournament.
With the crucial win of 7-6 (7-5) and 6-3 against the twenty-six year old Swede Robin Soderling, Federer is topping the point’s table of Group B of the tournament. Moreover, the recent victory of the sixty-five titles winner Roger Federer against the current
world number four Swedish veteran Soderling has given the Swiss new momentum to end the tennis season in a victorious way.
With the recent victory the twenty-nine year old Swiss legend has conveyed a strong message to all of his tennis rivals that he is still the best and eager to clutch one more tennis title.
In the match Roger Federer remained dominant and made his Swedish rival suffer by utilizing his remarkable experience with talent. It was the sixteenth tussle between the tennis stars, and Roger Federer had a psychological advantage over Soderling as Federer
had won fourteen matches out of the fifteen matches before this.
Federer started the match with brilliant efforts and broke Soderling in the first set of the match. But later the Swede recovered pretty well and gave the twenty-nine year old a strong challenge.
The Swiss served tremendously well and smashed back to back aces. The sixteen Grand Slam titles winner showed some staggering forehand shots like never before. Despite making some forehand errors the current world number two Federer remained uncatchable
for the veteran opponent Robin Soderling.
After the match Roger Federer looked pretty relaxed about his game and said that he is satisfied with the outcome of the match but the forehand shots errors that he made in the first set of the match gave some easy chances to Soderling. Federer added and
said that Robin gave him a pretty hard challenge in the first set of the match but he is happy to finish the game according to his desires.
While talking about the game and challenge from Robin Soderling in the match, Federer admired the game of Soderling and said that Soderling is a powerful and hard hitter and a player should work over his defence to play against him in a better way.
Federer continued and said that it is sometimes frustrating to play against Soderling as he is very fast on the court. The Swiss star said that he is very happy to qualify for the semi finals of the tournament but he is looking forward to continue his winning
form as he wants to end the season in a memorable way.
Federer told the media about his performance and said that he is happy about his performance and the victory has given him a strong boost for the upcoming stages of the tournament.
On the other hand the Swedish veteran and current world number four Soderling was keen to say that the day was a bit unlucky for him as he gave his full in the match. Soderling added and expressed that against Roger Federer a player should have a bit of
good luck with him to end the match in a victorious way.
Robin Soderling said that playing against the twenty-nine year old Swiss legend is not less than a test and he was just not as good as he had to be.
