Roger Hairabedian busted at Level 13 on Day 2 – WPT Venice 2011
Out of a vast field of 213 contestants, only 40 have made it through the opening three days of the exciting play the WPT (World Poker Tour) Venice event. The tournament is played at the Casino Di Venezia, in the floating city of
Venice, having an attractive prize pool of $841,345 and €3000 + €300 buy-in.
The top spot on the leaders’ board was substituted by Wanny Piazza, who climbed from his fourth spot to topple the leader of Day 1b, Andrea Dato, pushing him down to the fourth number in the standings. Piazza bagged 373,500 chips
to reign supreme on the Thursday night and will be eying for the title as the field shrinks further in the tournament. The official standings at the end of Day 2 at WPT Venice were:

Roger Hairabedian eliminated by Antonio Massi in Level 13
Roger Hairabedian was among the players who got busted on Day 2 of the tournament. It was the Level 13 of the event, with 1,000-2,000 ante, when he started off the hand with a raise of 4,300 from is middle position. Riccardo Marchini
called his bet with a degree of hesitancy, followed by three-bets from Antonio Massi, raising the bet by 24,000 from the big blind.
Hairabedian took the challenge and moved all-in for his 55,000 chips, having an ace and ten of diamonds under his sleeves. Marchini folded, while confident Massi called the bet, counting on his pair of hockey sticks, seven of diamonds
and seven of clubs.
A queen of heart, six of hearts and five of spades hit the flop, letting Hairabedian in worry and Massi getting even more exited. An eight of spades on the turn and an eight of hearts on the river proved decisive in the hand, with
Massi’s hockey sticks prevailing over Hairabedian’s lone cards to eliminate him from the table. Hairabedian calmly picked up his jacket to exit from the Casino Di Venezia in a dejected manner.
