Roger Mayweather: Pacquiao did not whop Cotto anyway – Boxing News
It seems like the ‘Mayweathers’ have decided to embarrass and put down the Filipino WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao at every platform. After a series of negative comments against the Pac-Man, the ‘Mayweathers’ yet have not found solace. In his recent
interview, Roger Mayweather, trainer and uncle of Floyd Mayweather, came up saying that Manny Pacquiao never defeated Miguel Cotto straight.
According to Roger Mayweather, “Pacquiao didn't whop Cotto anyway. I mean they gave him the win, but the (expletive) didn’t whop Cotto anyway. Pacquiao ain't never whopped Cotto fairly and squarely. Pacquiao ain't never whopped Cotto fairly and squarely.
The only thing Pacquiao did to Cotto is he went in there with that (expletive) in him... Pacquiao ain't doing (expletive) but taking them (expletive) drugs and taking them (expletive) steroids! That's all the (expletive) he's doing! He ain't doing (expletive)!
He ain't whopped no (expletive) elite fighters!”
Roger was talking about the fight between Pacquiao and Cotto that took place in 2009. Pacquiao had won the fight with a 12th round technical knockout. However, according to Roger, Pacquiao did not establish himself as the superior fighter, he
just won.
He added that even Margarito did not bring any skills that beat Cotto and that it was the illegal expletive Pacquiao had in his hands that helped him beat Cotto. Roger wants Margarito to be banned from boxing after whatever he did against Cotto. He then
said that even Margarito did not nail Cotto fairly and that he used illegal materials to beat the Puerto Rican.
Furthermore, Roger said that both the greats who have beaten Cotto never did it right and that his nephew Floyd Mayweather will be the first one to defeat Cotto fair and square. Cotto and Mayweather will be facing each other in the ring on May 5 at the MGM
Grand in Las Vegas. Miguel Cotto’s title will be on the line whereas Floyd Mayweather will bring his undefeated streak to the fight.
If Floyd loses, it will be his career’s first ever defeat after stepping in the ring for 42 times against the top opponents in the industry.
