Roger Mayweather confident about Floyd beating Miguel Cotto – Boxing News
In his recent media interaction, uncle and trainer for American Floyd Mayweather Jr., Roger Mayweather said that he knows his nephew will outclass WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto. During the interview, Roger was asked about his views on both
the fighters who are set to face each other on May 5 at HBO’s pay-per-view fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
According to Roger Mayweather, there is no thrill or suspense for him in the match since he already knows what is going to happen. Roger is of the view that his nephew will dominate the fight and Cotto does not stand a chance to win. He said, “I already
know what Floyd’s going to do. Cotto ain’t s**t! Floyd’s going to stop his mother-f***ing a*s.”
Roger went on and compared Miguel Cotto to Floyd Mayweather’s previous opponent Victor Ortiz. Roger said that Mayweather completely dominated Victory and knocked him out in the fourth round. According to Roger, Miguel Cotto is the same as Victor and that
is why he is so confident that his nephew will win.
On the other hand, the fact that Manny Pacquiao has already knocked out Miguel Cotto in the past, makes Roger even more confident that Floyd can beat the h**l out of Cotto. Definitely, Mayweather is a great fighter and Miguel Cotto does not stand a chance
against him. However, you cannot say anything for sure, since this is boxing and anything can happen anytime.
Most analysts have already rated Mayweather as their favourite for the fight. For now, it is looking like a one-sided fight, which Floyd will easily take away. Even Cotto’s recent statements show how intimidated he is with Floyd’s might. While Floyd has
been claiming to be the better man, Cotto has been trying to persuade his fans that he is doing the best to get hold of Mayweather when they enter the ring.
For now, Roger Mayweather has predicted the fight’s future. If we go by his words, then there is no suspense and thrill in the match since we all know who will win it.
