Roger Mayweather says Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao are on steroids – Boxing news
Roger Mayweather is on a criticising spree. He recently stated that Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan are on steroids, which is the mere reason as to why they have become such top-notch fighters.
Previously, Roger stated that Khan is an inferior fighter in front of Lamont.
He stated, “The only reason Amir Khan has become the fighter he is, is because he’s got those steroids in his a*s too. The same thing Pacquiao’s got in him. I know because those motherf***ers told me. Motherf***ers from Pacquiao’s camp, that’s who. I talk
to them dudes all the time.”
It is pretty obvious that Roger Mayweather has planned to defame Pacquiao and now Khan too. His recent claims come from the fact that Khan and Pacquiao train under the same mentor, Freddie Roach. Both the fighters have done exceedingly well in the recent
years and have come to the level of Roger’s nephew Floyd Mayweather Jr. Roger has previously accused Manny Pacquiao of using steroids and this time he has gone even harsher.
Manny Pacquiao and Khan are both busy training for their upcoming bouts. Khan is scheduled to fight Lamont Peterson on May 19 at the Grand MGM in Las Vegas whereas Manny Pacquiao will fight Timothy Bradley soon. Lamont Peterson, Khan’s opponent in his upcoming
bout, was once under training of Roger Mayweather.
Roger has claimed that Peterson has always been a fighter than Khan and if not for the sake of drugs then Khan stands no chance to beat him. Roger further said that Khan will be defeated again by Peterson since Lamont is a more qualified boxer.
Khan who is desperate to fight Peterson is busy preparing for his upcoming bout. He will be under the training of Joe Gallagher in the UK and then move to the Philippines to train under his long time mentor Freddie Roach. Manny Pacquiao on the other hand
has already started his training with Freddie Roach.
Both the fighters are world-renowned boxers for what they have achieved to date. However, Roger denies acknowledging their achievements saying that they both have used steroids to reach this level.
