Roger Mayweather says Manny Pacquiao does not have any skills – Boxing news
Roger Mayweather has recently stated that the World Boxing Organization’s World Champion Manny Pacquiao does not have any skills.
Roger Mayweather, who is best known for training his nephew Floyd Mayweather, added that the eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, is not winning the fights because he is skilled. He said he is only winning the fights because of his wildness.
Meanwhile Roger was asked about the World Boxing Council’s World Welterweight Champion, Victor Ortiz, who will face his nephew Floyd Mayweather on September 17, 2011 at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Roger said as per him, Ortiz has more skills
than the Fighting Pride of Philippines, Manny Pacquiao.
While speaking on his inclusion, he remarked, “I think the guy’s got better talent. This guy Victor Ortiz has better talent than Pacquiao. Pacquiao ain’t nothing but wild, anyway! Pacquiao ain’t got no skills, period! That ain’t why he’s winning. That ain’t
why he’s winning! He ain’t winning on no skills, that’s for sure.”
The 50-year-old Black Mamba, Roger Mayweather, then commented on his nephew and said he was a pure skilled boxer and there is no one out there who can beat him in this department. He also reckons that his nephew, who is an undefeated five-division world
champion and has won all of his 41 fights with 25 by the way of a knockout, is a better fighter than Sugar Ray Leonard, who is wildly considered as one of the best boxers of all time.
“My nephew’s got too much skill for these mother f*ckers! That’s why they can’t win. Boxing ain’t about because you throw punches. Anybody can lucky, but as far as skill-wise there ain’t nobody out there who can match him, period! Remember, my nephew has
more skills than Sugar Ray Leonard, too,” he said.
The Mayweather-Ortiz bout will definitely be a promising one as Mayweather is returning to the ring after more than a year. Let’s see whether Floyd is able to defend his unbeaten record or not.
