“Being listed as number three tennis player in the world by the Association of tennis professionals after the grass court Grand Slam competition last month ,is something that I have not experienced for long”, said the big man on Monday. “I am putting all my efforts and energies to get back in action with full form as a lot of youngsters are playing pretty well these days and that encourages me more to play even better”, he added.
Federer has spent a couple of time with Paul since his hiring.
“In my view I was not at all frustrated after my quarter final exit from the grass court Grand Slam tournament this season”, Federer said. “The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that my body was not fully supporting me apart from the fact that Tomas undoubtedly performed brilliantly and couldn’t let me defend my title”, Federer added.
As far as the ongoing Rogers Cup 2010 is concerned, the seeded third Swiss, Roger Federer will meet Juan Ignacio Chela, who won his first round match after falling down Alejandro Falla in a two setter clash. The final match score was 6-1, 6-3.
