Roja Dove determined to win Ross Golf Course Handicap
The K. J. Condon trained bay filly Roja Dove’s second last outing over the yielding ground of Ballinrobe proved that the young sprinter could do well in even such sort of race conditions. Thus, we can expect without any doubt that she will brilliantly bright
home the ace title of the Ross Golf Course Handicap that is going to be held at Killarney on Tuesday, September 4.
On the yielding course of 1 mile and 3 furlongs, the three-year-old novice filly will run alongside 14 rivals with almost all being out-of-form. It is an ideal chance for her to register her second success.
The daughter of Jeremy out of Knight’s Place broke her maiden by winning the Book On-line at Naasracecourse.com Handicap at Naas on August 6. She emphatically thrived despite being a non-favourite candidate. That was the day when the punters came to realise
how brilliant the filly is.
Following that tremendous triumph, the Zinlo Syndicate owned sprinter ran the Burleigh Accountants Handicap at Ballinrobe, finishing third while being the 100-30 favourite.
She went on to stand 4th in the 13-runner race of the Meath Handicap that went down at Bellewstown on August 22.
These stats show that Roja Dove has a lot of firepower under her belt. Moreover, she gained a lot of momentum by spending the last week in school.
Hopefully, the young filly will be able to succeed as none of her competitors is strong enough to challenge her. Jumbo Prado may prove to be a little bit disturbing.
The Joseph G Murphy trained grey gelding is h**l-bent to break his maiden. He finished 7th in his last start entitled as Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Maiden. The American horse also ran his second last race on a yielding track. He is likely
to stand second or third on the podium with Roja Dove being at the top.
Overall, the contest will be amazing to watch. A large number of the sport fans will move to the venue to enjoy the live action. Come on Roja Dove, this is your day. Good luck to all the contestants.
