Role of unit manager in insurance companies?

The job of a unit manager and the challenge he faces is identifying the potential advisor and recruit to make his selling team a strong and winning team.  Most of the unit managers are doing recruitment, but they go after a two or three advisors who give business consistently and other advisors are not motivated or guided when they are unable to procure business.  The unit managers enjoy lot of benefits like trip to foreign countries etc but they don't deserve it as they depend on the efforts and calibre of the advisor.
