Rolex Watchs are certified and numbered I know this. However, if you find one this there not a reward ?

    Registry with Rolex is not mandatory.

    Anyone with an ounce of good sense who loses a Rolex will likely be willing to provide you with a reward... The amount will likely reflect the inherent value.

    My suggestion is you consider turning over the watch to your local police. After a number of days, if the watch is not identified and reclaimed it becomes your legal property to own or sell.

    Your motivation to turn the property over to authorities might only be your hopes in getting a financial reward from the rightful owner. You might ask the police to turn your name and telephone number over to the party rightfully claiming to be the true watch owner to see if a reward had been offerred.

    A large number of watches with the name Rolex on the face are not Rolex's when the case is cracked and the inner-workings are exposed. Various levels of fake ROLEX are manufactured including use of genuine gold and diamonds to sell the deception.

    After and if the watch becomes yours, take it to a fine watch repair shop and get an opinion as to its authenticity.
