Rolex is now more than the Official Timekeeper of the PGA TOUR

The Official Timekeeper of the PGA TOUR is now the official Global Partner of The Presidents Cup.
According to the latest reports, Rolex is now the official Global Partner of The Presidents Cup till the year 2015. The agreement thus made by Rolex is also set to include a total of three more biennial matches. The agreement is
an extension to the one originally inked in 2008 whose timeline stretched through 2009, 2011 and 2013.
Rolex and the PGA TOUR have, with this agreement, cemented their lasting and active relationship with each other.
The concord is thus a multi-year venture that is aimed at benefiting both Rolex and the Tour. Rolex will be marketing its brand through a large range of PGA TOUR media that include various outlets like advertising and in-program
enhancements on the Golf Channel and NBC. The publicity would thus be carried out during The Presidents Cup that is also backed by the onsite branding and prominent placement of Rolex branded clocks placed at tee settings throughout the golfing events.
Other than the usual marketing techniques, Rolex's commercial and consumer clients will be provided with onsite hospitality as well as an all-covering spotlight on the PGA TOUR and Presidents Cup websites and other TOUR related
media.
Commenting upon this recent venture, Tom Wade, the Chief Marketing Officer of the PGA TOUR, said that although an official relationship, the past six years with Rolex, has been one filled with excellence and fineness. Wade said
that as Rolex now holds the position of being the Global Partner of The Presidents Cup, the PGA TOUR is extremely happy about the new relationship.
The Chief Marketing Officer further explained how the PGA TOUR and Rolex stand complimentary to one another and that through the excellence that Rolex maintains and the prestige associated with it, both will profit from this partnership.
As far as Rolex is concerned, the International Sponsorship Director, Jean-Noël Bioul said that The Presidents Cup is one of the most esteemed sporting events in the world and that Rolex felt honoured supporting it. Rolex and the
PGA TOUR have their goals aligned and consider their key values as one. Jean-Noël Bioul added “We are proud to share precision, endurance and performance as common values”.
