Roll n grow flower mats?

Question

Have any of you had much luck with a roll n grow type product? I have 2 jobs, 2 kids and am planning a wedding, so I dont have much time to plant a garden! Do they work?

I did some online research on them and no, they don't seem to work. Generally the reviews are really bad.
