  1. yes.   i totaled my wife's car in snow storm and drove it home and called insurance co the next day and did not need a police report

  2. If you have collision coverage then of course. A loss is a loss so report it ASAP to your insurer.

  3. If you have collision coverage they will, less your deductible amount.

  4. yes it is covered as  long  as you have collision  insurance.

Most police departments will not even come out and investigate a loss like this.  It's a single vehicle accident, you'll be fine.

  5. Yes, they will pay it if you have collision coverage

  6. It depends on the circumstances that the crash happened.

If no one else was involved, and no one was injured, and no other property was damaged, they may pay out.

From my experiences, they will always ask if the police were called, and normally will ask if you were breath or blood tested.

You may have no troubles, but I think they would expect you to file a police report. It sounds like it was a serious crash, and as the vehicle was extensively damaged, you may have had obligation to report it to police.

Check your local rules regarding reporting crashes to the police, and within what timeframe.

Out of curiosity, why didnt you report it to the police?
