I mean I want to go on them, but just scared something will happen to me. Could someone black out or die from riding a coaster?. Because when I go down a big hill I just feel like im going to black out or something.

  1. In my opinion, it sounds like you are working yourself up too much and it may messing with your body.  Before you get on a roller coaster, make sure you have eaten plenty during the day and have consumed enough fluids.  By not eating or drinking enough, your blood sugar can lower and you can become dehydrated from not drinking.  This in turn can make you dizzy and make you think you are going to pass out.  When it is time to ride a roller coaster, try and calm your nerves by breathing deeply and not thinking about what "could" happen.  Since I live close to Cedar Point, I have gone many times in the past 15 years, but I am also afraid of heights (will not ride Magnum, Mean Streak, Millenium Force, or Top Thrill Dragster).  The one thing I learned is I greatly prefer roller coasters with shoulder harnesses instead of lap bars.  By having the shoulder harness, I feel more secure and safe, which may explain why Raptor, Mantis, and Wicked Twister are my favorite rides in the park.  Perhaps you should try roller coasters with the shoulder harnesses (Raptor, Mantis, Maverick, Iron Dragon, Top Thrill Dragster, Corkscrew, Wicked Twister, etc.) and see if you feel safer and then maybe you can have fun at Cedar Point...which they want you to do!
