Question:

Roller coaster after-effect?

Last year when we went to Cedar Point, we rode 7 coasters in a row before we left. The last 2 we rode were Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force.

I went to sleep shortly after we came home, and when I woke up about 6 hours later, my heart was pounding as soon as I opened my eyes. I literally jumped out of bed because I felt like the adrenaline rush was still there.

I thought it was funny, but I wanted to know.. has this happened to anyone else, and is it normal?

  1. Oh yeah everytime i go there i get sooo excited i love cp and top thrill and millenium

  2. Yeh it has and also, when I go to sleep (Cause I often feel tired after riding on roller coasters) I can still here the screaming of all the kids and if Ive been on the same ride enough times, I can see and feel all the turns and the ups and downs of it...its real wierd and yes my heart seems to beat faster!!!!

  3. I went to the local amusement park and I went on a lot of rides that went up and down a big slope. On the ride home, anytime I would go over a bump or a hill, it felt like I was still on the rides! It was weird. I went to a restaurant after the car ride and I ended up with lock-jaw. I think sometimes those rides mess you up!

  4. This happened to me in a way, when I was in the bed at night it felt like i was moving, dropping, and going up.

  5. unfortunately,it's not normal!because it did'nt happen to me when i rode all the coasters in cedar point!
