  1. I always take dramimine before I go to amusement parks - - it really helps with the nausea.  I can ride coasters with no problem although I still have trouble with spinning rides (like WDW's Mission: Space and spider-type rides).  Don't eat heavily before riding and have fun!

    ;o)

  2. have a little ginger ale before going on, but not too much.

  3. Before you get on the rides take a children's chewable Dramamine, I know it sounds lame, but it works. I still take them before I go on long car rides and I'm a teenager too. Also my friend gets sick on roller coasters, but he loves them. He doesn't eat any sweets or fast food before he gets on the ride, and if he still feels sick, he eats saltine crackers. Ha ha These probably sound retarded but they do work.

  4. Dramamine works great!  It's a motion sickness pill that you can take about 30 minutes before you start riding rides.  It helps to keep you from getting sick.

Don't worry, my husband and I are huge coaster lovers.  Up until a few years ago, we could ride the looping coasters with no problems, then all of a sudden one year, we started getting sick on them.  The Dramamine helps.  We still get a bit dizzy, but taking breaks in between the looping coasters really helps.  The dizziness you feel is from your inner ear causing a sort of vertigo from the loops spinning you around in every direction.  It just needs time to settle between the rides.

If you do get sick while riding and decide to take a break, your family can still enjoy the rides while you sit them out.  I know it's not as much fun for you, but taking a break is better than not riding rides the rest of the day because you're sick.

  5. I haven't tried it but you could use seasick medication  or ginger a couple hours before you go.  It works for seasickness but you can't take it right before you go on the ride.  It would be better not to go if you don't like them.

It is an extreme case tho some people have some symptoms.

read the links to the web sites on the right particulary the CBS article which gives tips to avoiding your type of symptoms

  6. Make sure you don't eat or drink anything before you go on the ride. If you are going to eat or drink anything make sure you wait a while before going on the rides again. When you are on the rollercoaster don't think about it. Just try to have fun!
