  1. About the sensation that you cannot breathe, this was probally due to your nerves. You were not accustomed to the sensation of falling, so you got a little anxious and felt like you could not breathe.

About the feeling of coming out of your seat; this is normal. This is known as negative G's, or airtime. Coaster enthusiasts LOVE this feeling, and crave it. As long as you are obeying the all instructions, and you are not acting careless (like standing up, ect) you are perfectly safe. If you ride towards the back of the train, you can usually expect to experience airtime while going down the hill, while in the front of the train, you usually get air at the top of hills. If you are uncomfortable, ride in the middle of the train where the forces aren't as severe.

In short, don't worry, you are safe!

  2. During a drop on a roller coaster you are technically SAFELY freefalling. You are experiencing zero gs or weightlessness. This is where even a 500 pound man can feel as he weighs nothing. You float up out of your seat. its normal to feel as if your about to fall off.

Its the best part of any ROLLER COASTER!!!!!

    Hope this helps.....Enjoy the rides.....

  3. gravity is pushing against you you wont fall out it will hold you in

  4. IT'S THE AWESOMENESS OF A ROLLER COASTER! I love it.

  5. Usually that happens when your restraints are a bit loose, and the roller coaster has negative G forces (or zero gravity). I find it happens the most with lap restraints only. You won't feel that way if you are in different restraints (like on suspended coasters) because they push against you and hold you in tightly.

Some amusement parks intentionally have looser lap restraints on coasters with a lot of neg G because a lot of people ride roller coasters just to feel that. Usually, though, you can push the restraints down as tight as they will go to minimize the "falling out of the seat" feeling.

I don't know about why you can't breathe when going down a hill. You might be nervous, scared, or be holding your mouth open trying to scream!

  6. omg that happens on the yankee cannonballl to me..its prob. bc ur tiny like me too :]

  7. Everybody feels like that. It's because the momentum of going down so fast causes your body to lift up. You can't breath because of the speed and the suspense.

  8. well usually you lift off your seat cuz they are made for bigger(fat) people too

so being a normal size or skinny u tend to lift up. it happens to me to

but thats what makes it fun and scary! lol

also you prob just cant breath cuz your so nervious that u are lifting up

    good luck :)

  9. It's zero gravity I think. It's like when you are floating in space. Also, you won't fall out because of physics. The Inertia will keep you going with the rollercoaster. I don't know about the breath part, because that didn't happen for me. I just freaked. I've never been on a rollercoaster since like, 4 years ago because I'm afraid of falling. Watercoasters are fine though for me, maybe that would be a good alternative for you.

  10. Probably just the sense of falling. You might have gone into a brief shock or you couldn't exactly register what had happened while it was happening.

If you feel like that all the time, even if you're just walking and nothing has happened to you (ie, a fight or anything that might cause you stress or depression) and it just suddenly hits you, then you'll want to see a doctor.

But, otherwise, it was your first big-deal rollercoaster and you weren't prepared for what was going to happen. No biggie.

  11. The feeling of Negative G-force, or weightlessness.

  12. you're scared

  13. is is only becuz the air lifts u out of the seat. i feel the same way
