  1. think of it like you are trying to make a curve on the bottom of your feet.

    1. point toes up & keep them up (don't get lazy!)

    2. stride goes heel to toe through toe (AKA follow through)

    3. it helps to keep you glute muscles tight too

    go to dci.org

you can find killer examples of roll foot technique there, after all, dci is the major leagues of marching arts!

keep at it, you'll get it!

    ps MARCH PROUD!

  2. each band's marches may be different so be careful not to practice the wrong one---our glide step consists of keeping your heals close to the ground and pointing your toes as high as possible...and making it smooth

  3. I just got home from band camp!

    =P

When you step, put your heel into the ground and point your toe up.  Then, roll your feet till your toe is on the ground and your heel is up.  Repeat.

It helps if you practice it slowly first, then you can get to a normal tempo.

    Good Luck!

  4. this is how our band puts roll steps: get your toes to the sky!!!! it makes it a whole lot easier. Go on to youtube and find some marching band videos and just watch their feet
