Roma Tomatoes won't turn red?

Question

i have had a potted Roma Tomato for about 5 months now, and they just recently (the past 2 weeks) started growing tomatoes, but they have been huge and green for about a week now, but won't turn red, am i doing something wrong? (some of my bottom leaves have been turning brown, and i know thats a good thing because the plant has been putting more nutrients into the tomatoes)

the fruit has not had enough time to mature.roma's are a thick skinned varaiety which take longer to ripen. as for the banana idea , that is for when your first frost comes and you have green tomatoes left on the dying vine. the bananas produce a gas, which makes the tomatoes mature faster. place in brown paper bag and seal up.fertilize with an acid based fert. good luck.

Roma tomatoes are a determinate type of tomatoe..meaning they fruit out completely all at one time, turn red then the plant dies..the fruits take longer to ripen..You can put them a few at a time in a brown paper bag and with a banana and ripen then up as needed...an indeterminate tomatoe fruits a few at a time and ripens a few at a time all season untill the frost kills them..All of your romas are going to ripen all at once..unless you pick a few and put in a bag with a banan whjich releases ethylene gas..a ripening agent....You will be stuck with them all red at once if not...

you can hang a banana near your plants they give off a reaction that turns tomatoes red i cant remember the name of the reaction but i do this every year and it always works

They will.  One week is not long enough.  Just make sure they get sun because that is what is going to change the color.  Be patient and you'll have red juicy tomatoes soon.

Yea, 2 weeks isn't enough. It really depends on how much sun they are getting. Is it raining alot? It depends on that!
