Roma complete swoop for AdrianoRoma have completed the signing of Brazilian striker Adriano on a three-year contract. He is set to be paid $3million each season and receive bonuses. Adriano will move from Flamengo, where he helped them win the Brazilian league title last season by scoring 19 goals. Adriano failed to make the Brazilian squad for the World Cup in South Africa. He will now return to Serie A, where he played for Inter Milan for three years. Roma captain Franceso Totti backed the signing of Adriano. “I want to welcome him to Rome. Everyone will do their best to make him feel at home and he will find the welcome he deserves and the warmth of all Romanisti. “I am sure that Adriano will show Roma all his great qualities. Together we can do great things for a great Roma. He is a great player and I know him well. I am sure that he will return to being the great player he was a few years back.” Adriano will be unveiled as a Roma player tomorrow.
