The former Barcelona B coach has told his players that they need to push for the Champions League qualification, and cannot lose any matches remaining in the season.
The Giallorossi have had a topsy-turvy campaign this time around, and have given in to inconsistency on far too many occasions.
Their unpredictability has meant that they have not been able to cement their place in the top tier of the Serie A. They have been hovering in the fifth and sixth position for the majority of the season.
They lost to Atalanta and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 on the trot, which meant that Enrique’s side were not able to climb up the table. However, Il Lupi have turned their fortunes around and picked up two consecutive victories.
This has meant that Roma are now within touching distance of the third-placed Lazio, with the difference between the two sides a meagre four points.
With ten games remaining in the Lega, and their two victories on the trot, Enrique was of the opinion:
"We have earned two wins and that is very important for us. The table tells us that we're sixth now and that is where we deserve to be. But there are still ten rounds to go and we need to be confident. There
have been games that I was very pleased with and from the start of the season, the team has improved so much."
Despite securing consecutive victories, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 player felt that they have not been at their clinical best in the match against Genoa. He felt that the Giallorossi lost the ball on countless
occasions, and were never in full control of the match proceedings.
He felt that a draw might have been the just result, and had the Grifone walked away with a point from the match, he would not have complained. He remarked:
"After the goal, we were a bit tentative. I think that tonight's result is good for our confidence but we have to up our game. Tonight Genoa could have earned a draw."
The capital side will be travelling to the Giuseppe Meazza, where they would be facing off the reigning champions, AC Milan in their next game.
