Midfielder, Erik Lamela, has hailed A.S Roma as one of the biggest clubs in the world and is eagerly looking forward to play for them next season.
The Argentinean joined the Giallorossi in the summer transfer window this year and has recently reported to the training camp after representing his international side in the U-20 tournament. The 19-year-old is delighted to move

Talking to the reporters Lamela said, "I'll be [playing] in a great team, I am proud to play here - there are great players and it [is] a great club, one of the largest in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 and worldwide, which is why I chose to accept their
offer,"
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/River-Plate-c40368 star is looking forward to make his debut in the club’s UEFA Europa League second leg game against Slovan Bratislava on Thursday, 25th August, 2011. Lamela watched his team suffer a shock defeat
in the first leg of the clash and believes that the result should have been different.
"Yesterday I met my new team-mates and I talked with them, even if I do not yet know good Italian. I saw the game against Slovan and I liked Roma, the result was unfair. Will I play in the second leg? We will evaluate [it] next
week.”
The 19-year-old is widely tipped as one of the best young midfielders in the game and had a fantastic breakthrough season with River Plate in 2010. The Argentine international was one of the few consistent players for the relegated
Argentine side.
Enrique has tipped him to break into the Roma first-team straight away and believes that he can gel in well with rest of the squad. Lamela can be a handy signing for the Giallorossi, as he can play on the left side, through the
centre and even as a support striker.
The midfielder made 36 appearances during his two year stay with River Plate first-team and scored four goals as well.
