The Giallorossi had to endure another humiliation this season with their heavy defeat against Juventus, but Perrotta stated that it is not that bad as it looks.
The former Italian national has been at the capital outfit since 2004 and has seen many coaches and managerial teams come and go, but he has stated that everyone needs to
be patient with this AS Roma side. Having seen his side being inconsistent throughout the season, the World Cup winning star has stated that there is a lot more to come from Roma.
Perrotta was talking to the press after their annihilation at the hands of the Bianconeri at the Juventus Arena, and the Roma midfielder was gracious in defeat. He further
noted that Juve deserved to win as they were the far better side on the night and have been consistent in their performances throughout the course of the season. He was quoted to have said:
“Juventus thoroughly deserved the victory, regardless of the penalty. They are a really strong side and have been built to win.”
When quizzed on his outfit and the dynamics working for them, the midfielder was gracious enough to not point any fingers and stated that it was a relatively inexperienced
side. Perrotta also remarked that his side would only get better if they are given proper time to gel as a team. Upon further inquisition, he mentioned that:
“Roma? This is still a very young team and we need time to grow.”
