Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini rules out Daniele De Rossi sale: Serie A news

De Rossi is unhappy at Rome and has mentioned it several times that he wants to leave the Giallorossi in the summer transfer window. The Italian international has only 12 months left on his existing contract and has reportedly
rejected an extension. However, Sabatini has revealed that will not allow any of his star players to leave the club and he will try his level best to convince De Rossi to stay.
Talking to the reporters Sabatini said, "Any potential transfer of Daniele De Rossi is not on our agenda. Furthermore, what is on the agenda is the renewal of his contract. We are working with confidence and we have a lot of time.
I spoke directly to De Rossi - not even his agent was present.”
"It was a very informal chat and very friendly. He gave no definite answer. We will talk to his agent and then make an offer."
The 27-year-old has attracted interest from English Champions, Manchester United, and French side, Paris Saint Germain, but the Italian outfit have no intentions of selling their prized star at any price.
The Italian world cup winner revealed few months earlier that he is unsettled at the club and the fans also hate him, so he is looking to move away from the club. The central midfielder also showed his concerns after change in
ownership at Roma and added that the new bosses have not given him assurances about his future.
After the takeover, the Giallorossi are looking to strengthen their squad and new manager, Luis Enrique, wants the midfielder to stay at Stadio Olimpico Rome, as he is a major part of his future plans.
De Rossi emerged from the youth rank of Roma in 2001 and since then, he has made 357 appearances for the club and has scored 43 goals too. The midfielder has helped the club in winning two Coppa Italia titles and one Supercoppa
Italiana.
