Romain Grosjean aims to make improvement during the winter – Formula 1 news
Lotus driver Romain Grosjean has said that he is aiming to make improvements in his driving during the winter so as to perform well in the 2013 Formula 1 season.
Grosjean rejoined F1 with the Enstone based team in 2012 and was considered as one of the most talented drivers in the field. Moreover, he delivered some remarkable performances during the season with which he impressed everyone.
Although, he successfully attained some competitive results for his team, however, he caused some accidents in quite a few races due to which many drivers had to face retirements. Furthermore, he faced few penalties because of his harsh driving and received
a lot of criticism too.
Nonetheless, he has said that he is satisfied with his overall performance in this season and has learnt a lot from his mistakes which will surely help him in performing well in the next year.
It will be important to note that he has won the individual event of the Race of the Champions in Bangkok after beating Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing, Michael Schumacher and Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen.
Additionally, he expressed his happiness over his 8th place finish in this year’s drivers’ championship.
“It was a good year coming back to Formula One, having three podiums, eighth in the standings of the championship,” Grosjean said.
“But there it is and I think it's a good year in that way, in that respect, we did some fantastic results; a little too many mistakes as well which are the shadow of year but it helps me to improve myself during the winter, trying to analyse it and keep
speed that we showed and go for the results that we deserve and that we need to score the points for the team and for myself for the championship,” he added.
It is to be noted that Lotus have recently confirmed the Frenchman’s race seat for the coming season. Besides, they are looking forward to make the necessary developments in their car during the winter testing in order to attain score good points right from
the start of the next season.
