Romain Grosjean discharges temperature concerns in 2012 British GP – Formula 1 news
Lotus driver Romain Grosjean has discharged all the concerns about weather and said that they will perform well regardless of hot track conditions in 2012 British Grand Prix.
Grosjean said that they will try their best to analyse the weather conditions in Silverstone so as to make the right strategy for the race.
It will be important to mention that in the season so far, the Enstone based team has been very competitive in high temperature track conditions and it has been speculated that they may struggle in the upcoming race due to cold weather.
Nevertheless, the French driver dismissed all the concerns about the weather conditions and asserted that they are positively looking forward to deliver their best in any case.
“We have to see,” Grosjean said. “This track puts a lot of energy in to the tyres so the heat or the cold should not be as bad as it was in Canada for example. But then we have to see basically if it's raining or if it's dry, take the best chance to get
on track at the right time and try to analyse the weather forecast. It shouldn't be as bad as it has been in the cold conditions.”
Furthermore, he faced difficulties in the European GP held at Valencia Street Circuit and was retired due to the failure of his alternator. Nonetheless, he said that he is not feeling upset after the last race and hopes to do well in the race ahead.
In addition, he said that they are making the best of the efforts to resolve the ongoing issues and are hoping to come up stronger in the forthcoming race.
“It's not a big deal so it should be sorted out by now and we shouldn't get any more problems,” he said.
At present, he is standing at 7th place in the drivers’ championship with 53 points. Additionally, he is 4 points ahead of Jenson Button of McLaren and 20 points behind his teammate, Kimi Raikkonen.
Above and beyond, it will be very interesting to see how he performs in the approaching season.
