Romain Grosjean sets his sights on his first ever Grand Prix win – Formula 1 news
Romain Grosjean has said that he is now going to set his sights on a Grand Prix win.
Grosjean drove impressively at Bahrain and showed that he has the potential to be amongst the best on the grid. Finishing third in the Bahrain GP is just the beginning of more success to follow says the Frenchman.
He said that it was a great feeling but a bit strange at the same time but it is going to be the start of a good thing. He said the team has worked hard and he is very proud of the results they have helped him to achieve. The camp knew that the car is a
winning machine but still it was surprising to see the pace achieved during the race.
Raikkonen had a different strategy than Grosjean and it turned out to work just fine for the Fin at the end.
It has been a very tightly fought season so far and small details are making huge differences so it is making the job of the whole team all the more difficult to make sure everything is done perfectly without any loose ends. The team now has a good platform
and understanding of the car at hand. It is going to be imperative to use this initiative to progress further for better results.
Grosjean said that he is delighted to secure his first ever podium and now has his eyes set for his first ever win.
“Personally I am very happy to be on my first podium, it's quite a good feeling I have to say! I was saying I wanted my first points, top five and then podium so I jumped one step. The next step is a victory, but it will take time and now I think we can
have a week off to enjoy the time and to work a little bit in the factory to try to find the six seconds gap that there was with Sebastian,” Grosjean said.
It will be interesting to see how Lotus fare as the season progresses. There is a gap of three weeks before the next race and it will give the teams some time to regroup and better prepare for the race ahead.
