Roman Dyakov denies Dynamo Moscow talks with Chelsea FC’s Yuri Zhirkov: Russian Premier League
Dynamo Moscow president, Roman Dyakov, has quashed the rumours linking http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yuri-Zhirkov-c37683, to the Dinamiki and revealed that Rubin Kazan and Anzhi Makhachkala have already submitted proposals to lure the Russian national away from Stamford
Bridge.
It was earlier reported that representatives of the Dinamiki have travelled to Kaliningrad to discuss the possibility of a transfer, but the president has denied rumours of staging preliminary transfer talks with the Russian Cup winning defender.
Roman Dyakov has admitted that Yuri Zhirkov is the subject of interest for different Russian clubs but as far as the Politsyeĭskih are concerned, the club is not holding any talks with the West London club at the moment.
Dyakov suggested that the former CSKA Moscow sensation would be an excellent addition to any squad and could also fit in the Dynamo squad as a left back but the Blues would not sell their prized asset on the cheap.
“Zhirkov is wanted by almost all clubs of the [Russian] Premier League. But our club has never contacted neither Chelsea, nor the player himself. Of course, Yury would ideally fit Dynamo in the position of left halfback and we would be very glad if he has
announced that he is eager to play for our club.” Dyakov admitted.
Yuri Zhirkov has failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge and has been left frustrated with lack of action. The wingback arrived from the Moscow-based club for a reported 18 million Euros fee on the recommendation, Guus Hiddink, the former Russian national
team coach.
Yuri had admitted about the frustration springing due to lack of action and a transfer was also deemed a possibility. With the arrival of Portuguese coach, Andre Villas-Boas, however, any potential exit has been halted at the moment. The left back highlighted
his frustration by revealing that his position at the West London club is in limbo and that he is completely dependent upon the new manager.
Chelsea would be hoping to recoup at least half of the money they paid the army men for the promising defender, who has been an enormous disappointment in England, lacking the desire to impose himself on English football.
Dyakov has highlighted the fact that the wild division and the Rubies are currently negotiating with the English club for a move for the 27-year-old.
Anzhi have been spending heavily with the arrival of Russian billionaire, Suleyman Kerimov. Having already captured the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Carlos-c31317, there is now the possibility of landing the promising defender.
“However, knowing how much Anzhi and Rubin have been offering for Zhirkov to the Englishmen, we have a general idea about his cost.” The president went on.
The Moscow-based club have failed to claim any title since the inception of the Russian Premier League. With an ambitious president and an experienced head coach, Sergei Silkin, the club have been considering Zhirkov, a possible transfer target that can
add strength to the defence in the second round of the Russian Championship. Dynamo Moscow are currently occupying the third spot at the league table, just a point behind Zenit St. Petersburg remain second behind league leaders CSKA Moscow.
