Looking for the parents and spouse of Roman Glantschnig. He was born in 1877 in Austro-Hungary. I know that his wife was named Mary and he had at least two kids Alfred and Agnes. I found his immigration record to America that said he was German and I also have his WW1 draft registration card. If anyone can help with more records or finding out more about his spouse or parents, than please help me. I have no more information other than this. Thanks

  1. ***I did find his marriage. However, it did NOT list his spouses name, just date and reference #.

    Name: Roman Glantschnig

    Marriage Date: 25 Nov 1905

    County: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

    Volume: 38

    Page: 0016

Now, what I would do is contact the volunteer from Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness in Milwaukee (http://www.raogk.org) and ask them to look this up for you.  That would give you her name and with depending on what they asked in Milwaukee, perhaps even their parents names.

Another thing to do, is try putting either his first and/or last name in a search engine with ** in place of other letters.  In WWI a lot of Germans tried to make their surnames less German, and changed them by dropping of endings, etc.

Good luck with your search!  Hope this helps!
