Media reports in Russia suggest that Lokomotiv Moscow striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Pavlyuchenko-c31639, has persuaded Olga Smorodskaya, the Parovozy president, to sack Jose Couceiro following the Russian outfit’s poor Russian Premier League campaign.
However, the Lokhi striker has now rebuffed these statements, denying the fact that he has played a key role in his shocking departure. The 30-year-old forward has conceded that he has good relations with the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 manager.
The Moscow-based club have now signed the Croatian national team manager, Slaven Bilic, after sacking Couceiro earlier this month.
Bilic, who has won back-to-back silver medals in La Liga at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863, is expected to conduct his first training session at Moscow after performing managerial duties with his national side at Euro 2012.
There is little arguing that Lokomotiv had a terrible league campaign in which they have failed to win the Russian Cup and were denied to secure European football berth this season by their counterparts.
Pavlyuchenko, who returned to Russia from Tottenham Hotspur in January, went on to reveal that he talked to Couceiro about what the media had written about a possible conflict.
“He is a good coach and to part with him was disappointing. But football is like this. The players, coaches and clubs periodically change. Separation occurs constantly.”
“There is nothing to tell much about my relations with the coach. I do not understand why they wrote about this conflict? It is complete nonsense. I do not understand that how is that possible that a player who has barely joined
a team can start arguing with the head coach.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
The former Rotor Volgograd player went on to concede that he has discussed the arrival of new head coach with Dennis Glushakov and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Shishkin-c31646 respectively. Pavlyuchenko has urged the Railroaders to work harder and assured the
fans of improving next season.
Pavlyuchenko has tipped the new manager to sign out-of-favour Tottenham players: Vedran Corluka and Niko Kranjcar this summer.
