The Russian target-man has revealed that Corluka was perhaps Tottenham’s best defender and with his departure to Lokomotiv Moscow, the North London club have lost an asset that should’ve been treasured at White Hart Lane...
Roman Pavlyuchenko has praised Vedran Corluka in his latest comments and expressed his happiness over the Croatian defender’s decision to join Lokomotiv Moscow. With Tottenham currently in a state of limbo without a manager following
the dismissal of Harry Redknapp, the club has now parted ways with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vedran-Corluka-c35947.
The Croatian defender was a squad player at Tottenham and his ability to play in central defence as well as at the right back position allowed Redknapp to use his squad effectively at White Hart Lane.
However with Corluka’s departure to Moscow, Tottenham will need to dip into the transfer market to solve their defensive issues which are becoming more compounded due to talk of Ledley King’s impending retirement from football
altogether due to his fitness problems.
Not only that, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Pavlyuchenko-c31639 has praised Corluka for being one of the best defenders at Tottenham. The Russian striker was once at Tottenham but he left for Lokomotiv Moscow as well in the last January transfer window and
now he is happy to be reunited with his former team mate.
The prolific goal scorer said, "Its great news - the best I've heard for a week and a half. He is a very tenacious, uncompromising defender, who is practically impossible to beat one on one. He convinced me of this in training
several times.”
He added, "He's physically strong and, without flatter, I would say that Corluka was probably the strongest defender at Tottenham." It will be interesting to see what Tottenham do now.
The priority for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Levy will be to appoint a new manager at the club who can take things forward after they failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League last season despite finishing fourth in the league table.
Harry Redknapp’s dismissal came as a surprise to many at Tottenham and there is already talk of players following Corluka out of the door as Real Madrid and Manchester United are both interested in services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857.
