The Russian striker has assured the Lokomotiv Moscow fans of helping the ambitious club and commented on Pavel Pogrebnyak's transfer to the English Premier League.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Pavlyuchenko-c31639 completed his transfer to Lokomotiv Moscow from Tottenham Hotspur on the transfer deadline day for a reported 8 million Euros.
Though the Russian striker had a promising start to the debut English Premier League campaign, he failed to impress in the following years. Since leaving the Luzhniki stadium back in 2008, Pavlyuchenko managed to score 20 goals
in 78 appearances for Spurs.
The former Spartak Moscow forward has expressed his delight on his return to the Russian Premier League and expects to rediscover his form in the upcoming third league round.
It was a difficult task for Pavlyuchenko to leave the White Hart Lane after four seasons with the North London club. He has now thanked his former teammates for helping him out during his stay with the Spurs.
News in Russia had suggested that the Myaso tried to steal the 30-year-old's signature. However, Pavlyuchenko has denied the reports and insisted that he has not made contact with the Moscow-based club recently.
“From time to time there were talks about the interest from Spartacus but there was nothing concrete.
“But I pushed my move here because it looked like Lokomotiv needed me more than any other club. Loko have always been an ambitious club and they have set certain goals. I wish I could help them in their mission.
I would love to meet my new teammates as soon as possible after shifting my family at the Moscow.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Pavlyuchenko’s close friend, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pavel-Pogrebnyak-c29501, moved to Fulham during the January transfer window. The star duo once played at Luzhniki stadium together.
The former Spurs man has wished Pogrebnyak a successful career and predicted him to contact Arsenal striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771.
Speaking on Diniyar Bilyaletdinov’s transfer, Pavlyuchenko went on to reveal his surprise over the move, admitting that he had never expected him to join the Red-White.
