Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko revealed he could be heading towards a White Hart Lane exit in the upcoming January transfer window. The 29-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991 international has had a frustrating career with the London side and has told the Spurs
manager that he will leave the club if he is not given a spot in the starting XI.
Pavlyuchenko joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2008 from Russian side Spartak Moscow for a fee of £14 million. Despite having a decent debut season with the Spurs, the Russian forward found himself behind http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jermain-Defoe-c18359
in the 2009-2010 season.
Into his fourth season at the club, Pavlyuchenko has made 99 appearances in all competitions and has scored 38 goals. Most of his appearances over the last two seasons came as a substitute even though the former Spartak Moscow man had made it a habit to
score in important fixtures.
However, he has failed to remain consistent throughout his time at White Hart Lane, which is why Redknapp has always preferred other strikers ahead of him. It seemed Pavlyuchenko stood a chance at regular football after the departure of Robbie Keane and
Peter Crouch in the summer transfer window, but that was not the case.
Despite offloading two strikers in the summer, Redknapp brought in Manchester City striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Togo-c3022 international has proved to a success alongside Jermain Defoe, which makes it all the
more difficult for Pavlyuchenko to regain his place in the team.
The striker revealed that he was frustrated at the lack of regular first team football at Tottenham Hotspur, which is why he was considering leaving the winter transfer window. He revealed he was in good shape and was desperate to play regular football.
Pavlyuchenko said while speaking to reporters:
“I do not have much playing practice at Tottenham, although I am in very good physical shape
I very much want to play football. That's why I need to start thinking now about moving clubs in the winter.”
While he admitted he had grown to love the London club, he would be forced to leave if the manager did not go about to make changes. Pavlyuchenko said that he would even be willing to leave on a loan deal if it meant he had a chance to play regular football.
He revealed:
“I love Tottenham. The team is like my second family. But if nothing changes I will agree to any loan deal. In fact, to any deal which gives me the chance to play permanently.”
So far Pavlyuchenko has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs and a return to his former side, Spartak Moscow.
